Together with seismology professor Christine Thomas (University of Münster), the GeoMaX group organized the PhD workshop „Seismology and Mineral Physics of Earth’s Mantle“ that took place at University of Münster from July, 18-20th (Flyer download). The picture below shows the 19 PhD students from both mineral physics/mineralogy and seismology who joined the workshop in a brave attempt to bridge the communication gap between the two disciplines and foster interdisciplinary collaborations in the future.
