Public Outreach, „Tag der offenen Tür“ at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences

GeoMaX group members presented the activities of BGI Bayreuth at the „Tag der offenen Tür“ of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences in Munich. The presentations included „volcono building“ for kids. Some impressions are summarized below.

2 invited talks at EGU conference

The GeoMaX group was invited to give two talks at the EGU meeting in Vienna.

Alex talked about his elasticity data on bridgmanite in the session „Dynamics of the mantle and core in the Earth and planetary bodies: from magma oceans to the present day“ (GD3.1/EMRP4.41/GMPV6.6/PS9.3/SM10.12).

Hauke presented recent results of the group’s work in the session „Understanding Earth’s mantle with links to geological cycles“ (GD3.2/EMRP4.24/SM10.1).
